Business is tough. Transport business is even tougher. But that is the business we’re in. For the last 40 years, we’ve been making trucks and machinery work better. In that time, we’ve tried just about every means to improve operations that can be found. A few worked, many didn’t.
Central Tyre Inflation (CTI) is definitely one that works. In fact is, without CTI, you are wasting at least 30% of your tyres. You are throwing away one tyre out of three. But, it’s even worse than that. Without CTI, you’re an accident waiting to happen. Braking distance depends entirely on tyre friction with the roadway. And tyre friction increases as the contact patch increases. Plus over pressure tyres hammer every truck component to death. This includes the driver and passengers. Another product that we completely believe in is LPG supplementation for diesels. LPG simply makes diesels run better, for less. Imagine gaining power and torque, while saving money. It sounds too good to be true, but I’ve been using it for 15 years. Added LPG can be tuned for a mild increase in torque with typically 15% reduction in overall fuel costs, or for more power with slightly lower costs. Lower costs, more range, cleaner oil, and less pollution simply can’t be ignored. Added LPG should be on every truck.
FASS (Fuel Air Separation System) is another tried and true product that benefits every diesel. Fuel sloshing around in tanks, then sucked up a meter or more mixes air into the fuel. Caterpillar and Cummins both state that most trucks have 10% of air in the fuel. Entrained air reduces engine efficiency, lowering engine power, increasing fuel use, and damages injectors. The FASS unit improves power and reduces fuel consumption. Pay back period is weeks to months. This unit works, is easy to fit, and lowers pollution too. Invest in your future. Stop wasting money.
