FASS Fuel Air Separation System is designed to remove Air, Dirt, Water, Condensation and Vapour from Diesel Fuel Systems. FASS addresses the Diesel Performance Changes due to Air introduced by diesel agitation, Fuel heating up and thinning down, and vapour introduced when pumped to the engine. FASS creates a smoother Fuel Flow through your injectors causing less wear and tear and extending the life of the fuel injectors. FASS assists in the standard chassis mounted filters by using an electric pump and filter assembly,with pressurized fuel flowing through two filters, into chambers which separate the air from the fuel, and supplies the injection pump with clean 100% fuel, no air or contaminants, which enables the engine to work to its maximum capacity, as it was designed for. The savings are 6to 8% in Fuel, improved power (approximately 4%), and less wear and tear on the engine and injectors.
Normally the fuel is sucked up into the injector pump through filters, unused fuel is then sent back to the tank to be reused. This system enables air and vapour to be mixed with the fuel, and this fuel goes round and round until it is used. When your fuel contains air and vapour it does not run very well, it will loose power, run rougher and make more noise, and that is before taking into account the extra wear on the injector system. Your engine will run with the air and vapour, but not as well. When there is up to 10% of air or vapour in your fuel the loss of power becomes apparent, the air causes the dampening affect of the fuel to be lost, and the injectors will start to hammer shut.
