Passenger's Ride is Smoother and Safer with AIR CTI

AIR CTI Toyota

AIR CTI is the Australian Made Central Tyre Inflation/Deflation System made specifically for Coaches and Buses, whether you drive on Sand, Mud, Tracks or Bitumen, you will extend your tyre Life and have a safer, more comfortable ride with AIR CTI.

Designed to Inflate and Deflate your Tyres from in the cabin whilst the vehicle is still or in motion, AIR CTI enables a 2 wheel drive to perform like a 4WD, and a 4WD to perform like a 6WD. Because the Tyre is inflated/deflated to maximize traction and can be adjusted to suit the load, and the road, the Driver will have better Steering Control, better Braking, and better Speed when Traction is an optimized. Providing the occupants with a safer, smoother, and more controlled journey. Each Tyre manufacturer has engineered the tyres to provide the best possible performance in the majority of conditions. Each Manufacturer has charts that state which pressure to use in the Tyres, and this changes for the load and for the road. When the road conditions change, the tyre pressure should be adjusted, when the Load changes, the tyre pressure should be adjusted, this is to maximise the traction achieved by the tyres, to enable a safer journey with better traction, better braking, better vehicle control, and better tyre life.

A Tyre, driven at the correct pressure, will have sufficient sidewall stiffness for cornering, and limited sidewall flex to control the heat buildup of the tyre. This pressure will provide the best tyre wear. Bitumen roads require different tyre pressures than gravel roads, or dirt roads, as does sand, mud and snow. Tyre pressures can also be adjusted for corrugations and rocks. When towing you can increase the tyre pressure in the rear tyres as needed. Also changes from the standard tyres require different tyre pressures, larger tyres require less pressure, fatter tyres require less pressure. Spinning the wheels due to less traction (or loss of traction) will cause more wear and tear on the tyres, the drive train, suspension and axles, as well as damage to the tracks. With AIR CTI you can control all this by dialing a knob in the cabin. AIR CTI will also warn you of any air loss from the tyres, and keep inflating the problem tyre, enabling preventative maintenance to be undertaken at a time that will least inconvenience your journey.

By using AIR CTI you control the pressure, enabling softer tyres to improve the ride, minimize suspension wear, tear and breakage, improve traction, lower the drive train load, and eliminates most axle tramp. Softer tyres are easier to drive on, float better on soft ground, and reduce the environmental impact of your vehicle. You can also deflate tyres to a lower psi to get more traction when stuck or bogged.

AIR CTI produce both single and dual Zone Systems that suit a wide variety of vehicles. And make a system that will suit all 4WD's for all tracks and all Jobs. Whether total bitumen, towing, or sand and mud tracks. We have the system to suit your needs.
